The timing of your article was very meaningful to me, Tom. I have posted about it on my website at https://johnstokdijk.com/2011-on/my-projects/emergent-commons/the-bridge-back-to-magic/.

Ah thanks so much John- I am thinking deeply about the transition from tyrant to king that is reflected in that epilogue- through the stable integration of the feminine. My primary focus is how this is done in business, so people can profit within the existing model.

Great analogy and way to invite people to follow their curiosity. Seems like we’ve read and absorbed a lot of the similar information. Just finished a 3 part series on a how we can use our belief system and view to cultivate a more permanent or at least easily accessible state of flow. Felt you may resonate with it

I'm glad- if nobody else saw the same pattern I'd obviously be insane ;)

Where is that series located?

I know that feeling bordering on insanity. I think what you wrote here is a lot more sane than a lot of what I've read.

Hi Tom, you can have a read of it here; https://open.substack.com/pub/thepsychedeliccloset/p/new-approach-to-access-flow-at-will?r=1kzm66&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

That's Part 3 (which will also link you to part 1 & 2).

Great piece. The bit about belief preceding does sound like a cat poster, but is intuitively as true as it gets.

All our words for anything meaningful have been ruined. It’s sad and weird.

Yep. Clichés are dismissed because they're clichés which is actually a bit of a tragedy when they just might be true for someone's uniquely individual situation. Context dependency can maybe pierce through that, though.

What a beautiful weekend read, thank you, Tom 🙏🏻

A really nice article Tom! And many resources to follow the theme further as well!

I agree, we do need a bridge back to magic.

We are sitting on our know-it-all scientific/technological throne, looking back and down with arrogance to everyone who has ever walked on this blue sphere that's traveling across space-time.

Stupid idiots they were all! For thousands of years they had understood nothing! Not a mere insight!

They were all just staring at the stars with an open mouth.

But luckily here we are to put an end to all those superstitions that have run across the human race for thousands of years! Rationality is here to save the day!

And only we, the modern humans are capable of it.

Thank God!

If you haven’t listened to the emerald podcast above I forecast you’ll really enjoy it…reveals this mindset to be as dumb as it sounds.

Thanks, just bookmarked it! From a first look, it seems that your forecasting will prove right!

Ah that's all I can ask for, thanks

Really good, Tom. Helped connect some dots (build a bridge?). Thanks.

Thank you for sharing. Im very curious about how you link your work in finance to your insights in this realm.

Expand full comment

Funny you should ask- the interview above with Barrons might help answer?

Expand full comment

The reason I ask is because I see finance as a powerful lever to help our culture, at a larger scale, connect on deeper levels to the truths you share. To me the question is: How to make that hunch truly practical?

Look forward to your insights in the podcast
