Ha- thanks- I've thought about it a lot. But I also had a dark period with a voice in my head that wouldn't stop talking, it genuinely felt like it was trying to crowd out the smaller voice of conscience/right-hemisphere.
I also enjoyed how you both took time to speak to--and care for--the modern sensibility that struggles with genderizing our psyche into "masculine" and "feminine," yet then shared why this is a useful frame.
Since I read King, Warrior, Magician Lover" in 2019, I've been deep-dive learning the language of archetypes and now, four years later, they continue to amaze me with how useful they are to make sense of the world. Not just the exterior world, but the one in between my ears.
Anyway, I plan to share some of those insights in a Substack blog starting in February 2024. When I do, I'll link to this article. That's mostly because it's really good and has insights and language I won't make or use, but also because you cover business and markets, which won't be a part of my beat but which is obviously very important.
Thanks so much Bryan! I'd love to read that substack. I feel like I am only now understanding the tyrant/king, but the others have ben harder to see around me and in my own life too!
The good news is ... at least I think it's been much more good than bad in my life ... once you start understanding the archetypes, it's almost like the world begins to reflect them back to you. I now see them in how Mother Nature expresses herself, how I am in the world, how others are---I see the, of course, in movies and literature, music...the list goes on and on. I'll certainly not run out of things to write about! Anyway, thanks for your response and yeah, I'll do my best to keep reading your stuff, and remember you'd be interested in what I'll eventually offer. Hopefully, too, this won't be the last time we interact!
"Filibustering his own soul". Wow, that is good. And hauntingly accurate.

Well having gone through that gauntlet, it seems that wisdom was the payoff! Integration.
This is a great piece, Tom Morgan.
Lots of good insights, and clear writing.

Okay, thanks for your effort!

Really enjoyed this one. Thanks.
Thanks for reading Dean!
Thank you for this. Every piece actually sends me down the rabbit hole with links and other authors, I suppose thats intended.
Haha- yes, but only if the rabbit holes are good ones.
This is a great piece Tom, a lot to think about.
Thanks Miquel!
Enjoyed this, Tom.
Your articles make me think, thank you.
Thanks Harold, my whole aim in life!
You bring up a lot of interesting points. I definitely agree that being secure is a crucial factor when it comes to leaders and rulers.
Thanks Anne Marie!
