Ervin László: A Short Conversation with a Living Legend
“Where [Ken] Wilber outlined what an integral theory of everything should look like, Laszlo actually created one.”
- Stan Grof
Dr. Ervin László is a philosopher and systems scientist. He’s the author, co-author or editor of 106 different books and he’s written over 400 articles and research papers. Among many other awards, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004 and 2005.
Now 92 and still as passionate as ever, Dr. László explains to us how mainstream science is dangerously flawed. Our primary topic of discussion is attractors; which has the potential to be the Copernican moment for Western culture. László has pioneered the scientific theory of the “holotropic attractor.” In the introduction to his latest (free) book Our Sacred Mission he describes this as “a force that orients interactions in the universe towards the formation of complex and coherent systems.” Just like gravity, this force acts on us at every moment of our lives. And yet our imbalanced neurology can prevent us from believing this force even exists, let alone allowing us to harmonize with it.
In our short 25 minute conversation (Spotify link) Dr. László described why it’s of urgent societal importance and massive personal benefit for us to collectively and individually align with the holotropic attractor.
